Toowoomba East State School has a well-equipped tuckshop that provides quality food for our students.
Our Tuckshop encourages healthy eating. Green foods are healthy, amber foods need to be consumed in moderation and red foods are recommended to be consumed a maximum of twice a term.
The tuckshop is open from 8:30am to 1:00pm Tuesday to Friday.
Volunteers needed!
We are always in need of great helpers and would love it if you could volunteer some of your time to help out in the tuckshop. It doesn’t have to be a full day or even every week, even just an hour here or there helps so much. If you are interested in volunteering please pop in and see our tuckshop Convenor, Melanie. If you’re not able to pop in but would like to know more about volunteering, please email tuckshop@toowoombaeastss.eq.edu.au or click on the flyer to the right.
Online ordering available via Qkr! App
After listening to the feedback provided by the school community, the P&C decided to move from Flexischools to Qkr for Tuckshop and Uniform Shop ordering this year. Qkr (pronounced “quicker”) provides a more streamlined ordering experience with lower fees for families. Families will be able to use Qkr to order both Uniforms and Tuckshop.
Please see the below information about how to set up and register for Qkr. All orders should now be placed via the Qkr app and can be done ahead of time. The cut off each day for ordering is 8:45am. Just a reminder too that you’ll need to ensure you have selected your child’s class for 2023 before placing an order.

Please note that the tuckshop now offers lunch specials. These foods are ONLY available on the days listed on the tuckshop menu. Please be sure to check the menu to see which meals are available for each day. (See the link to the right for the menu)
Collecting
Prep and Year One students will have their orders returned to their classrooms prior to the break times.
Years two to six students collect their orders from the tuckshop.
Dietary requirements
Gluten free products are now available as an option from some of the products on the menu. Bread, spaghetti bolognaise, macaroni cheese and hot dogs are available. Please check the Qkr! App ordering page for available products.
