Farewell Mr Lacey

4/05/2017
For the past 12 years Mr Lacey has led Toowoomba East State School through a period of change; both physically and academically. Our facilities have been upgraded to the highest standards (ovals, hall, library and computer labs) and we have moved from traditional curriculum to the current Australian Curriculum Standards. Mr Lacey’s passion in keeping the traditional histories of this school and moving forward ‘with the times’ has been an amazing balance. Instilled in everyday school life through his leadership are the expectations of Best Manners, Best Effort and Best Behaviour in all that we do. This legacy will
continue.

Mr Lacey spoke at his farewell parades of the advice that he continually gave us to take on new challenges when the opportunity arises and to be confident in your ability to step out of your comfort zone and be courageous. Change can not be avoided, it will happen in our lives and to embrace it.

We wish him all the best in his new journey. His footprint will remain – thank you Mr Lacey.
